The Things I Wished they Had Told Me
People have asked me how long Design for Life™ took me to write. My answer is two years, 20 years and a lifetime. I have been a life-long fan of self help and improvement books. Some people are cynical about their value, but they have worked for me. However, although they worked, I often found they didn’t give me everything I wanted and needed. For example, some told me I needed a Life Plan, but didn’t provide me with a template and others asked me to explore my motivations without explaining what they might be or how I could find them.
So finally I wrote the book that I wished I had been able to get hold of 30 years ago. As a project it took me two years from beginning to end; it took 20 years to move from the original idea to doing something about it and I poured a lifetime of learning and experience into it.
